| Anna Sui is a relative newcomer in the American fashion
world, having conducted her very first runway fashion show in
1991. The combination of her Chinese heritage with her
American upbringing is evident in her designs and fashion
shows, which have been termed “playful and whimsical.” Her
designs are favorites of such divas as Paris Hilton, Courtney
Love, and Lindsay Lohan.
Sui added her perfume line in 1999, debuting with her
signature fragrance, Anna Sui, featuring primarily a “whisper
soft” blend of citrus and floral notes of roses and violets.
Upon entering the 21st century, Sui increased her offerings to
nearly a dozen fragrances, including her Dolly Girl series,
featuring notes of jasmine, musk, cinnamon, and magnolia.
Sui’s 2009 feature fragrance is aptly titled Live Your Dream,
again featuring floral notes, musk, and sandalwood. Other
perfumes by Sui include Sui Love, Secret Dreams, and Sui
Wish. |
