| Annick Goutal stated that “fragrance is the music of my
dreams. Fragrance is my inspiration.” By artfully combining
the music and inspiration, she created an Upscale Perfumery
House in 1981, distinct in its sophistication, excellence, and
somewhat mystical transformation of emotions into
fragrances. Between 1981 and 1999, the House of Annick
Goutal produced over two dozen perfumes before – sadly –
the world lost some of its fragrance when Annick passed away.
However, her daughter and an associate continue to carry on
her legacy. Annick Goutal perfumes are known for their range
of light citrus scents, woodsy and spicy notes, and sweet floral
fragrances. For instance, one of the first Goutal perfumes
introduced in 1981 – and still available today - is a unisex
version, Eau de Lavande, which strategically blends lavender
and vanilla. A 2009 entry is Un Matin d’Orage for women,
which is a delightful fragrance with notes of lemon, ginger,
shisho, jasmine, magnolia, champaca, nutmeg, and ylang
ylang. Some other notable Goutal perfumes include Rose
Absolue, Sables, Songes, and Vanille Exquise. |
